Join renowned Sketcher Star Ian Fenelly for an unforgettable 6-hour sketching class at the historic Castle of the Faber-Castell Family in Nuremberg, Bavaria. Hosted by Faber-Castell, this exclusive event includes refreshments, a goodie bag filled with sketching supplies, and a guided tour of the castle.
Ian will use Faber-Castell Markers (Pitt Artist Pen Brush as well Goldfaber Aqua Dual Marker) in order to create his unique sketching-style in a different technique, to when he normally uses watercolours. Thus, next to joining him in sketching, you'll be among the first to be taught his sketching style with markers!
Starting at around 10am and ending at approximately 5pm (with breaks included), you'll begin the day with a guided tour of the castle, led by the Faber-Castell team. Then, under the guidance of Ian Fennelly, you'll have the opportunity to sketch this stunning piece of history using Faber-Castell Markers, as well as learn from Ian's humorous and empathetic teaching style. His knack for storytelling will add an extra layer of depth to your sketching experience, perfectly complementing the castle's historical and artistic atmosphere.
Although Ian may not be able to provide individual feedback throughout the day, he'll be available for advice during the breaks, and you're free to sketch along to his tutorial. At the end of the day, Ian will provide summary feedback for the group, taking a look at some sketches and offering insights on how to improve.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced sketcher, this course is designed to meet your needs. With a maximum of 20 participants, you'll have plenty of opportunities to learn from Ian.
