Discover Seville from the creative side! As being the former birthplace of artists such as Velázquez, Murillo and Zurbarán, it is not surprising that Seville offers one of the most significant art collections all over Spain. Together with Renata you will explore and record the unique atmosphere of Seville with easy drawing techniques in your personal travel sketchbook with pen and watercolors. You will draw in the streets, squares, buildings, gardens, monuments and also in the cozy little «cafés».
With this workshop you will allow yourself to entirely dedicate yourself to sketching and drawing. In addition, you will be able to share your own experiences with other participants from all over the world. Renata will help you to find the perfect subject to draw and she will teach you about different ways of choosing an harmonious and well balanced composition for your drawing. Her mission is to observe first and then sketch what YOU see by adding a hint of creativity and some tips and tricks in regards to your drawing technique.
The objective is not to do a perfect picture like a photo, but all is about guiding you towards ways to loosen up and keep drawing wherever you go. You will learn to use your sketchbook like a diary and also use it as a tool to learn, practice and progress more and more. Your travel sketchbook is you experience, it is your personal laboratory to experiment!
This workshop will bring you to a new level in your drawing. It will also teach you how to create a well balanced sketchbook and it will bring you to a higher amount of spontaneity while sketching and drawing .
Target group: (all levels) This course is meant to be for beginners as well as for advanced learners.

Where do we sketch/draw?
We will draw and sketch mainly outside en plein air, so you should not mind walking longer distances on foot.

Seit einigen Jahren hält sie auch Face-To-Face Workshops. Sevilla, die Hauptstadt von Andalusien, gilt als eine der malerischsten und lebhaftesten Städte Europas. Sevilla liegt in Südspanien, in der Nähe des Ufers des Guadalquivir. Schönes und warmes Wetter ist hier immer garantiert! Das gesamte Stadtbild ist geprägt von den Spuren der arabischen Vergangenheit. Atemberaubend schöne Gebäude, wimmelnde Gassen und kleine Gärten, die mit viele Blumen dekoriert sind, sorgen für eine idyllische Atmosphäre. Lassen Sie sich von der sevillanischen Lebensfreude mitreißen! Die historische Altstadt von Sevilla bietet viele tolle Motive für spannende Fotos oder Gemälde. Besuchen Sie die Kathedrale von Sevilla, den Alcázar Palast oder den Torre del Oro. Wer will, kann abends auch eine Runde Flamenco tanzen gehen!

Das schöne Hotel Alcázar liegt zentral in Santa Cruz, einem sinnbildlichen Stadtteil Sevillas, in der Nähe des königlichen Palast Alcázar, der Kathedrale von Sevilla und der Plaza de España. Alle Zimmer wurden komplett renoviert und sind mit geschmackvoller Einrichtung ausgestattet. Sie garantieren Komfort und Entspannung. Jeden Morgen wird ein kontinentales Frühstück serviert. The material list for this course will be provided timely in advance.
Group size: min. 6 persons, needs to be achieved at last 6 weeks in advance of the starting date of the course. Max. group size 10 persons.
The course will be held in English.
Transfer is not included in the price. If you are planning to arrive with public transfer or if you have limited mobility, please let us know and we will find a solution. We will check if course and accommodation are suitable for you. However we can assist you to form groups to diminish transfer costs. We strongly advise you not to book your flights before you have not received the information that the minimum number of participants has been achieved!
