Vitaly Makarov

Vitaly Makarov was born in Essentuki, Russia. He loves to draw since his childhood. His parents encouraged him and took him to a Children’s Art School. He was very successful and talented, so that he was immediately taken to the second class.
After finishing Children Art School, he studied at the Kharkiv State Art College. During that time he lived in a hostel for students. The time in college was very interesting for Makarov and he enjoyed it a lot! He plunged into the atmosphere of creativity. They painted each other, still lives, read many books about artists, went to different art museums, exhibitions etc.

By the end of 1992, when the USSR collapsed, he found himself in another country — Ukraine. He returned home to Yessentuki (this is the Stavropol Territory, in southern Russia).
That was the time when his independent creative life began. Unfortunately, because of the collapse of the country at that time, he was unable to continue his studies at the Academy of Arts or at another higher educational institution. But he continued to study on his own. He began painting en plein air with different masters of painting.

Makarov believes deeply that ” the most important thing in art is to be honest and have a living perception of life. To have impressions, to be able to feel, to have a living soul and a warm heart, that is, to be human. You do not just copy what you see, but you must try to create poetry, music on canvas. The technique of painting is important, of course, but the highest manifestation of art is when the viewer does not see the technique, but sees the music.“
