Legend holds that Romulus and Remus founded Rome in 753 B.C. – the mythical image of the two brothers suckled by the she-wolf, other than the Colosseum, has become the iconographic symbol for the great city. Rome is the capital city of Italy and whether you are there for 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months, be prepared to step into the world's biggest open-air museum. Rome is also home to 49 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Rome is endowed with an incomparable combination of color and light, monuments and sculptures that have defined the history of art. Rome will seduce you, and for a photographer, the effect is magical. Here you'll walk the same streets that Caesar once walked, set foot in the smallest independent nation on earth, and see the masterpieces of some of the world's greatest artists. Then you can turn a corner to see how modern Romans live alongside all that historical splendor. Rome is home to many iconic sights including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and countless others. Historic monuments exist among modern buildings and create an enchanting and contrasting destination. Food is also an integral part of the culture in Rome and time spent enjoying the wonderful cuisine as well as their delicious wines is a must on any adventure to Rome!

This adventure is designed not only to guide you to the most photogenic locations carefully planned for the best light, but to aid you in mentally visualizing a scene before capturing the decisive moment. Our aim is to raise your awareness and spark your creativity so that you not only go home with images to be proud of, but use your new found skills to improve and expand your photographic technique in general. Apart from the technical aspect of learning your camera settings and capabilities, you will learn how to turn an ordinary image into an extraordinary image by using your own creativity.

In addition, you will become knowledgeable on how to survey the landscape, utilize and approach your environment, photograph people indigenous to the region and the cultural considerations and challenges of photographing in a foreign country. Our time together will include individual and group discussions, inspiring ideas and great fun. We cannot think of a better location to express your creativity than the historical city of Roma!
