Photography in the Heart of Navarre

30.10.2019 - 03.11.2019 Navarre | Magdalena Mlotek photography, landscape 690 EUR

This weekend photography course will take you to the central part, where olive and almond trees grow. Max group size is 8. This gives us a possibility to stop if there is an urgent need to take a shot of a perfect cloud passing over an amazing landscape. It’s a Mediterranean one, dry and sunny, with green and grey plants growing from a yellow or reddish soil.

Navarre – a region of diversity. Within its borders we can encounter deep green forests, rocky mountains, vineyards, sweet cherry orchards or a desert!

The tutor for this course is Magdalena Mlotek, a photographer and a ceramist who has been giving classes and holding workshops over the last 10 years.  You will spend three mornings on photography sessions and two evenings on introduction to Photoshop. Enjoy!

Day 1: transfer to the accommodation between 5-7 depending on the participants flight connections, an informal introduction to the course content and a welcome glass of wine and free time to discover the village of Obanos

Day2: breakfast, meeting your tutor at 10, a trip to Bardenas Desert, looking for a perfect shot, lunch and siesta at accommodation (14-16), Bridge and Photoshop from 16-18 (upload, basic functions, ‘magic’ filters), time to relax or practise your new skills

Day 3: breakfast, meeting your tutor at 10, a trip to Olite, the old capital of Navarre, visiting its castle and photographing all morning under your tutor’s eye, lunch in Olite, Photoshop course at accommodation (16:30-18:30), time to relax or practise your new skills

Day 4: breakfast, leaving the accommodation at 10, a trip to Artajona, a medieval fortress town with unusual towers, transfer to Pamplona (airport/bus or train station/Old Town) around 12:30. Possibility to have a guided tour (with extra fee). We recommend staying for the rest of the day if you can.

What to bring:

a camera, a laptop with installed Photoshop (there is a 30-day trial version you can download for free), a mouse (optional), extra lenses and filters (optional), sun cream, a warm jacket/jumper for the visit to Bardenas Reales Desert

We reserve the right to change the trip itinerary in the case of bad weather. Don’t worry, there are plenty of amazing places to visit. And it hardly ever rains in this part of Navarre.
