Valencia

The region of Valencia is located on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and is divided into the Costa del Azahar and the Costa Blanca. The golden sandy beaches and the very mild climate of the region provide ideal conditions for relaxed holidays. Picturesque little villages in the hinterland offer attractive photo opportunities. Orange trees characterize the landscape as well as numerous architectural and cultural monuments, such as the Templar fortress Peniscola. Valencia itself is a lively port city at the mouth of Turia in the Mediterranean Sea. The highlight and must for all photo and art enthusiasts is certainly the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias: a cultural and architectural building and park complex in the dry riverbed of Turia. It is the modern landmark of the city.
