Madrid

Madrid truly is a European giant. With a population of almost 3.2 million inhabitants, it is the third-largest city of the European Union and at the same time the capital of Spain, the seat of government, the residence of the Spanish monarch and an important financial center of Southern Europe. But despite all its progressiveness and modernity, it still owns its historic vibe as you can find many historic neighborhoods and sights on your way all through the city: The Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre and Opera House, the old National Library and of course the Cibeles Palace and Fountain. Besides Madrid hosts numberless museums and a lot of beautiful parks.
