Mani

Mani - Tower houses, castles, ancient sites, byzantine chapels, spectacular caves and sheltered bays, this is the area in the south of the Greek peninsula Peloponnese. You will be overwhelmed by the variety of Mani’s countryside, because here at the second-southernmost tip of the European continent, every place possesses its unique beauty. Therefore, the land of the prickly pear cactus invites you to enjoy a visit full of little surprises. Spectacular sights are guaranteed motives that you can catch with your brush or your camera. One of them is the stalactite cave of Pirgos Dirou, a natural heritage of the peninsula. At 15,400 meters in length, the cave is today the largest known cave formation in Greece and one of the largest in Europe.
